About the chef
My name is Wyatt Gaus, a private chef based in Charleston, SC. I take pride in crafting dishes that cater to your unique preferences while prioritizing sustainability in every ingredient I choose. Allow me to bring a touch of culinary excellence to your table.
My culinary journey began in 2017 during high school when I trained under my greatest influence, Chef Tracy Burgio. Initially, it was just a high school culinary class I joined out of uncertainty about my future path. Little did I know that I would meet the person who would ignite my passion for the culinary arts and instill in me a constant desire to learn more.
After completing high school, I earned an associate degree from the Culinary Institute of America. Over two years, I had the privilege of learning from some of the country's top chefs, mastering everything from basic techniques to the intricate details of a professional kitchen.
I then honed my skills at 1833 Kitchen and Bar in Finger Lakes, NY, where I worked as a chef tournant. This role allowed me to gain experience across various kitchen stations and events, learning invaluable tips and tricks from seasoned chefs that can only be acquired through hands-on industry experience.
With a steadfast commitment to quality and innovation, I invite you to savor the flavors of Herbly Wonderful Culinary. Experience a harmonious blend of creativity and sustainability in every bite.
